Bexley Lib Dems ready for snap election

Bexley Liberal Democrats have announced the candidates who will fight the snap General Election on June 8th.

Simone Reynolds, local mental health worker and mother of two is standing in Bexleyheath & Crayford. She said “This is our chance to put the brakes on the government’s rush to a hard Brexit. We will fight to protect jobs and opportunities our children by keeping Britain in the Single Market.”

Drew Heffernan, learning support worker standing in Old Bexley & Sidcup, said “Only the Liberal Democrats can prevent the Conservatives winning a majority. With Labour weak and divided, we are the only opposition to the Tories who will stand up for Bexley."

Experienced campaigner Simon Waddington has been selected for the Erith & Thamesmead in the north of the borough.
