A Mental Health Champion for Bexley

Join our campaign to appoint a mental health champion for Bexley

 

Mental health problems affect one in four people and costs £150 billion per year to the economy in England alone. Despite this, support can be hard to access and it can take many months, even in the most serious cases, to get the help people need.

Liberal Democrats in Bexley want the council to sign up to the Mental Health Challenge run by the Centre for Mental Health, Mind, Young Minds, and others, and commit to:

-       Appoint an elected Mental Health Champion

-       Support positive Mental Health in our communities and neighbourhoods.

-       Tackle discrimination on grounds of mental health in our community.

-       Listen to people of all ages and backgrounds about what they need for better mental health.
