Lib Dems in Bexley welcome new members

People across the country are joining the Liberal Democrats and the party is now larger than at any time this century.

Since the referendum, over 20,000 members have signed up to join the Liberal Democrats, the only party fighting Brexit and providing a united opposition to the Conservatives. In contrast to Labour, who are fighting themselves, Liberal Democrats are fighting for communities and have gained more council seats across the country than all other parties combined.

Bexley is no different and the local Liberal Democrats party has seen a surge of members.

One new member, Victoria, joined in the last few days and has already been engaging with the party locally. She said "I was deeply disappointed after the referendum and felt that the Lib Dems were the only party consistently fighting for remain. The Lib Dems were also giving a positive message." Asked how she finds being a member, she added: "Since joining, I've been struck by the friendliness of everybody linked to the party - I think I've found a good fit!"

If you are inspired by Victoria's experience, join today by following this link. Joining costs £12 a year, or £1 if you are a student. Together, we can build a open, tolerant and united Bexley.
