Gita Bapat is standing to represent Bexley and Bromley as a member of the London Assembly, which holds the Mayor of London to account.

Gita was born and raised in Bromley and, apart from stints in China at university and in Paris and Hong Kong as a trailing spouse, she has spent all of her life there.

A strong believer in Liberal Democrat values of justice, equality, human rights and accountability, she looks to represent the people of our leafy outer London suburbs.

In her spare time she volunteers with a local charity of which she is a Trustee and is passionate about singing. She loves all dogs.
